Eric is a filmmaker, composer, children's book author, and Bible teacher.
Eric is an Emmy-nominated filmmaker who produces, directs and shoots feature-length documentaries, commercials, and short films. He has won 18 Addy awards for his work including two coveted Best of Show Awards. He has been nominated for 5 Emmy awards for his film work. In addition to client work, Eric is the founder of Children's Book Promos, which specializes in book trailers and promotional films for authors and publishers.
Eric has written multiple children's books with his wife, Meredith. Their first book, Hear O Little One, is a children's board book and is being released by Harvest House Publishing in the Spring of 2022.
Eric holds a Masters of Divinity degree from Western Theological Seminary. He teaches, speaks at churches, and leads Biblical study trips to Israel and Jordan through the ministry he founded called, The Acacia Project,. The Acacia Project exists to help people better understand and fall more deeply in love with the Bible. Eric is available to lead your church or group to Israel and Jordan.
Eric is also an Emmy-nominated composer of soundtracks for film, television and commercial work. His music can be heard throughout the Creation Museum and in Focus On the Family's well known video series, "That The World May Know". Eric has written the soundtracks for the feature length film, "The Frontier Boys", and the documentaries, "The Anatomy of Hate" and "Florida's Coastal Dune Lakes," which earned him an Emmy nomination. Eric has also composed a rock musical and a ballet. He has produced and recorded six original piano albums of traditional hymns featured in modern arrangements.
Eric lives in Grand Rapids, MI, with his wife Meredith, his daughter, Meryn Grace, and son, Judah Allyn.
